My Opinion

Ive used the ever popular Luminous Silk Foundation and i love it (which I'll review at a later time), so when Giorgio Armani  Maestro Fusion Foundation was released last year i was very excited to try it, i was looking forward to using it during the spring and summer it sounds like it'll be perfect for those warm days when want something that feels lightweight but also durable.

You can purchase it from Giorgio Armani Beauty. High end luxury stores/websites like Sephora, Sakes Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, and Bloomingdale's
I purchased my bottle from Sephora Meatpacking

The Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Foundation comes in a pipette/ dropper design that, gives you full control over the amount of product you dispense, but i find it sort of daunting everytime i take the top off I'm wary of contamination or me spilling it. (Like I can just imagine a fly landing in it) It takes some getting used to, the bottle is made of thick frosted glass making it seem durable, the dropper feels a bit flimsy which is very disappointing.

The consistency of Maestro is thin, almost water like. Reminiscent of MAC Face and Body foundation or L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder . Once applied to the skin the foundation feels silky and lightweight, and gives a natural/velvet finish that brightens up your complexion. Its oil-free and it contains silicon so for those who are sensitive to silicone's should take that into consideration.

The coverage of Maestro is surprisingly good, due to the consistency you'd be under the assumption it would be sheer, but since Maestro is so pigmented the coverage is amazing. Its light to medium coverage that's buildable, that can easily be layered without feeling heavy or looking cakey. I applied the foundation with a Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

The foundation wears nicely on my skin and didn't oxidize or start to separate, but after 7-8 hours i did notice it settled slightly into expression lines and i needed to re-powder my nose once.

Overall I love Maestro and would recommend it to anyone looking to splurge and you surely wont be disappointed for this product is truly unique compared to thousands of foundations on the market.
